Incredible versatility sets the Seaward 26rk apart from other boats. Key is adjustable draft with the Smart Keel System. Because her foils move vertically, she can perform without compromise in any water depth. She can sail comfortably in big water, drive hard to windward, and still put her nose on the beach when you want to step ashore and collect shells.

Low center of effort sail plan, low center of gravity, considerable hull form stability, and ballast low in a bulb at the keel’s lower tip combine to make the boat very stable. Modern sail plan, clean underbody and high aspect foils assure high levels of performance on all points of sail. Keel and rudder may be positioned anywhere within their range limits, allowing the boat to sail in water as shallow as 18 inches, yet be extremely able offshore.
Trailering is easier than ever for a boat of this size. She sits low on the trailer, and because of the long waterline length, the stern floats quickly, even at marginal ramps. The optional mast raising system takes the physical exertion out of the raising and lowering process.

Our Smart Keel system adds an intriguing dimension to a sailboat that is already a very able and comfortable coastal cruiser. With draft that varies from 20” to 6’ 6”, you can walk ashore without getting your shorts wet, or sneak into the hidden cove you’ve been wanting to explore… or you can put the keel down and head offshore with confidence, knowing the ballast is low in a bulb at the tip of the keel, where it can do the most for your boat’s stability.
With deck stepped mast and retracting rudder, she goes easily onto a trailer for trips to distant cruising grounds or to escape bad weather.
Her smart keel adjusts vertically by electric winch, stainless cable, and bronze turning blocks. The winch motor is mounted in a compartment on the cabin top, a good six feet from the water. The only moving part that gets wet is the keel itself.
